HUNT Biosciences was established in 2007 and is the commercial arm of HUNT Research Centre and Biobank. HUNT Biosciences offers a professional interface with industry and facilitate commercial use without compromising the interests of the donor population. HUNT Biosciences is publically owned and any profit will be returned to the community, for research and medical care.

HUNT Biosciences offers access to HUNT Databank, a fully established Norwegian population-based prospective biobank, leveraging more than 25 years of medical records and biological samples, representing a regional cohort of close to 100.000 individuals. In addition to genetic samples, HUNT Databank comprise more than 800 exposure variables and nearly 3000 different variables per individual.

HUNT Databank is part of the Faculty of Medicine, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.
